ANTOINE F.
Introduced to the maritime world by his father in Brittany, Antoine F. revealed a passion for boats at an early age. Before long, the urge to imagine, sketch, and then craft his own dream hulls transformed the family home into a workshop.
A series of providential encounters followed with expert mentors in the nautical field, such as boatbuilder Gabriel Besnard and sailor Jean Chevalier. Each meeting added new knowledge and skills, enriching the range of his ambitions.
Although a career in naval architecture seemed the obvious path, Antoine F. instead turned to the study of design. His design studio, founded in 1993, recently celebrated 30 years of creations, including such iconic pieces as the bamboo bicycle for Hermès and the Class2M sport keelboat.
Thirty years of creative and artistic vision are now expressed in a collection of sculptures that elevate and sublimate the silhouettes they evoke.
